Evelyn Regner, MEP, supports “Get Caught Reading”
Reading a lot is an important part of the job as a politician. Especially now, as Europe faces huge tasks, it is essential to take that time and think about progressive solutions, says Ms Evelyn Regner, Member of the European Parliament, Vice-Chair of the Committee on Legal Affairs.
This particular book by Joseph Stieglitz is an important contribution to the public discourse. Stieglitz shows which mistakes have been made in the past and which will be made in the present. Furthermore, he points out clearly what has to be done to reduce the inequalities in our societies – not only for the sake of justice, but also for the sake of our economies and our societies themselves. For all who hesitate: Stieglietz also proves that reading political economics doesn’t have to be boring at all, added Ms Regner.
