I have always loved books and reading is a very important part of my life, says Helga Trüpel, Member of the European Parliament.

Being a Member of the European Parliament, reading represents an essential part of my work and is necessary to stay informed and to get new ideas. In my leisure time I read for inspiration and for pleasure. So reading is for me a source of inspiration, information, creativity, learning, pleasure and relaxation at the same time. By reading novels I do understand much more of politics in different societies, added Ms Trüpel.
