I’ve read all my life, starting when I was a kid, says Mr Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council.
Books establish some kind of distance between yourself and the subject of the book. They make you think, you are invited to reflect on them. At the same time, each book is a meeting. A meeting with people of the past, of the present, of the future. Beyond the book, there are people; that is what attracts me, added Mr Van Rompuy.
