I can think of many reasons why reading books is an integral part of my life, says Włodzimierz Albin, President of the Polish Chamber of Books.

I read for relaxation, for knowledge and for self-development. But there is one more very important reason why people read: Thanks to books, we can save our traditions from being forgotten. Everything changes and our memory about past is not perfect; it may seem obvious, but we can prevent our past from being lost by writing and reading books dedicated to culture and history, added Mr Albin.
